On behalf of the American Academy of Clinical Psychiatrists and Current Psychiatry, we are pleased to present “Mood and Anxiety Disorders: Solving Clinical Challenges, Improving Patient Care.” This highly practical, educational meeting will offer 2½ days of clinically useful information and up to 18 CME credits.
In our interactive, learning-focused format, nationally renowned faculty will provide best practice information specifically designed to address the everyday challenges of improving outcomes for patients with mood and anxiety ar disorders. We will explore:
- Managing mood and anxiety disorders across the life span.
- Best practices for treating social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD and PTSD.
- Maximizing antidepressant therapy while managing side effects, drug interactions, and suicide risk.
- Diagnostic challenges: Unipolar vs bipolar depression: atypical depression; borderline personality disorder vs mood disorders.

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant Category 1 hours toward the PRA.
Physician Assistants Credit Designation
The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant Category 1 hours toward the PRA.
Determination of educational content for this program and the selection of speakers are responsibilities of the program director. Firms providing financial support did not have input in these areas.
CME Certificates
CME certificates will be sent to conference attendees as a hard copy via regular mail from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine approximately three weeks after the conclusion of the conference.
